Hoosier Hills Armed
Forces Families Association The Hoosier Hills Armed Forces Families Association (HHAFFA) was started
by the American Red Cross in April, 2003. HHAFFA is independent of the
American Red Cross and is a local, community-based organization that
supports military members and their families.
The primary purpose of HHAFFA
is to provide fellowship and practical help to spouses and other family
members of active duty members of the Armed Forces and to show community
support for our Armed Forces through various activities. These
activities include: writing and sending letters to service
members; marching in parades; preparing and sending care packages to deployed
service members. On Mother’s Day, HAFFA gives red, white, and blue corsages to all mothers, grandmothers, and
wives of active duty service men. HAFFA also gives any service
member coming home on Emergency Leave a $20 travel grant.
HAFFA members keep in touch with one another
through a phone tree and email, h00sierhillsaffa@hotmail.com -
that's two zeroes instead of o's in hoosier. To
receive more information, become a member or receive a newsletter,
please send your request to
